Hello, I’m Frank Smith and this is my website. I’m a writer and editor living in Austin, TX—but I was built in the Midwest land of Ohio and Brooklyn, NY.

My writing tends to focus on issues of environmentalism and sustainability, because I think it all kinda goes back to that—caring about each other and the planet.

You can find my short stories in Asimov’s Science Fiction, Analog Science Fiction and Fact, Planet Scumm, Bastion Science Fiction Magazine, The New Accelerator, and Pindeldyboz. My nonfiction has appeared in The Awl, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Morning News, The Barnes & Noble Blog, and Maisonneuve.

I’m a member of SFWA, and I did the creative writing MFA thing at The New School.
